The Murder on D. Hill & The Psychological Test

Join us as Ben, Dessy, Tiago, and Rose cover the inspirations behind Ace Attorney! This episode we're covering two short stories by Edogawa Ranpo: "The Murder on D. Hill" and "The Psychological Test." One is the first ever story featuring Ranpo's detective Kogoro Akechi solving a salacious killing, and the other is a howcatchem featuring a scheming university student who thinks he's done the perfect murder - and he also encounters Akechi! We get our first taste of Ranpo's work, discuss how to un-"Boss Baby" ourselves, and talk about our favorite lines and moments from these tales. And of course, we also draw some lines back to Ace Attorney, including one moment from these stories that Shu Takumi lifted entirely for Case 1-2! Find out what it is by listening in!
